OSHA Regulations

Summary: The Senate has introduced an OSHA-sponsored bill to increase fines and penalties for regulatory violations. Note Section 310 and 311

310 Summary:

Any employer who willfully or repeatedly violates ... any standard, rule, or
order ... may be assessed a civil penalty of not more than $70,000 $120,000 for each violation, but not less than $5,000 $8,000 for each willful violation.

Any employer who has received a citation for a serious violation...

shall be assessed a civil penalty of up to $7,000 $12,000 for each such violation.

311 Summary:

Raises potential sentence for any employer or responsible corporate officer to ten years in cases of violations resulting in death.
